SPHTM NOLA Culture and History Tour

New SPHTM students will participate in an immersive tour exploring New Orleans' rich cultural history and its impact on present-day health disparities. This experience will provide critical context on the city's Black communities, illuminating the social determinants of health that shape equity issues. By understanding New Orleans' unique historical and cultural landscape, students will be better prepared to conduct meaningful, community-centered health equity research that addresses the city's most pressing public health challenges
